Want a simple way to stop microfiber pollution at home?
Every time we wash our clothes they shed fibers. These fibers are a major source of microplastics pollution in oceans. Our filters stop 90% of them.
The only solution with a closed loop
PlanetCare filters come with reusable cartridges that catch microfibers. Our unique Return-and-Reuse service means you simply send the used cartridges back so that we can professionally remove and dispose of fibers, as well as refurbish cartridges for future use. That way no microfibers get released into the environment.

How are our clothes polluting the ocean?

1. Synthetic clothes shed tiny pieces of microplastic
Synthetic materials such as polyester, acrylic, and nylon represent about 60% of the clothing material worldwide.

2. With every laundry we release them into the wastewater
Every time we wash our clothes they shed hundreds of thousands of plastic fibers. Washing machines don't have filters to catch them, so they end up in wastewater.

3. A week of laundry = 1 plastic bag in the ocean
Researchers found that 6 kg load of laundry releases over 700,000 microscopic plastic fibers. That means each one of us throws one light plastic grocery bag into the ocean every week.
Get To Know: PlanetCare Founder and Environmental Activist, Mojca Zupan
Mojca quit her career as a corporate lawyer to change the way we do laundry forever. After learning about microplastics pollution she founded PlanetCare that changed the narrative of sustainable living and paved the way for policy changes.
"I'm so proud we're offering an effective and affordable solution for microfiber pollution that goes way beyond conscience clearing. But most of all, I've just been so excited to see how many people care deeply about the issue, too. My team and I envision a world in which every washing machine has a pollution-stopping filter: it's been done in cars years ago, so this has been long overdue. Thank you for sharing our vision, we can't make it without you!"
